As dark UFO videos go, this clip showing flashing lights over Jerusalem is certainly a puzzler. A bright speck seems to descend toward the skyline, around the location of the Dome of the Rock (also known as the Temple Mount). A minute into the clip, there's a bright flash, then the speck shoots up from the skyline. This version of the Jan. 28 clip shows two side-by-side videos, captured by observers who were virtually side-by-side as well. "Have fun debunking this one," the YouTube user who posted the video writes.
Here's another version, which sounds as if it was shot by a group of tourists. "We've seen 'em in Mississippi like this," one observer can be heard saying.
Debunkers might note that the views come from perspectives that could make nearby objects seem farther away and faster-moving. Or they might wonder whether the whole thing was faked. Over at HowStuffWorks, Marshall Brain offers a smorgasbord of videos aimed at pointing out the traces of image processing.
I think this is going to be one of those shaky-camera sightings that will live on in UFO lore without making much of an impact in the wider world. But what do you think? Feel free to leave your comments about the Jerusalem Lights.

While I wish it was an authentic video, everyone really needs to look at http://blogs.howstuffworks.com/2011/01/31/the-jerusalem-ufo-at-dome-of-the-rock-on-january-28-2011/. Even if you think it is true no matter what, just check out that link and watch the videos.
Keith, those people did not fake it. It was broadcasted out shortly right after the incident. If you believe how stuff works then believe it, cause you are a doubter and need a how stuff works to get you to think everyone is faking UFO's
I saw PERSONALLY with my own two eyes 200 Plus on November 20th over the sky in Thailand and 4 of them hovering right over my frickin house that I rent over here, and that my friend is NO FAKE.
It seems to me it will have to take a brick to hit you over the head before you will believe that the UFO's are genuine. Wow, I am sure when that happens you will have a zinger of a headache, and by that time its too late for you .
Are you sure those were not Chinese lanterns you saw in the sky over Thailand? If what you saw was real (UFO'S) then...AWESOME!! I hope this video IS real! It means that change is COMING. Good for people who believe in God and read their Bibles. Not so good for those who reject the one who died for us all.
Why is it good for those of you that read the bible and believe in god and bad for everyone else!? What if I believe in Buddha or Genish(sp) or someone else? Belief in those sects seems more appealing to me rather than have some supposedly all knowing, all powerful being saying 'believe in me or I will condemn you to an eternity of pain and suffering!' Yep, that sounds like the type of deity that I want to worship...NOT! Oh wait, I know! It's because the bible told you so! I'm soooo tired of hearing that worn out excuse for EVERYTHING!!
Although I do not denounce the possibility of other forms of life in the universe, the antonym U.F.O. has absolutely no correlation to aliens. At the end of World War II, the United States recovered one of Germany's many modern inventions.
-Little background knowledge: Hitler and the Nazi Germans threw away all forms of science, math, etc. and literally created an entire new way of measuring and using functions. It wasn't that it was more advanced, it was simply their own way (which has not been done successfully for centuries before).
Now, the invention the United States did discover was a flying disk which hovered in mid-air, using foreign types of technology that could, I'm assuming, at that time not be decrypted.
Look back before the 1940's, there was not a single one claim to see any unidentified object in the sky. All of a sudden, 10, 20 years later, we start to hear more and more claims. This is our country's military perfecting this new form of vehicle.
U.F.O.s are real, and they slip up by being spotted all the time, that is why the government came up with an idea to keep everybody occupied: they have somebody claim it belongs to aliens, then everybody rants about whether or not aliens exist, then thats the only thing anybody thinks about when the see a U.F.O.
The history channel even did a little special on the U.F.O.
Do a little research before you attempt to doubt me first, please.
I guess there will be doubters until there is concrete evidence to prove otherwise. I mean real, real proof. It wouldn't surprise me if the govenrnment was hiding something. Isn't that what they do best, no matter the content? But again, concrete....
Speculate, contemplate - nothing wrong with doing that.
YEAH... if it was on the History Channel then it MUST be true. DUH.
I agree completely. And my guess is the theory will be tested when our next war comes around.
A more far-fetched theory I just thought of, completely seperate but additional: they could be using them now during the daylight above the troposphere; we would never be able to tell if they were. And that would explain how quickly we can access information in other places.
That sounds a little paranoid to me though, I dont know. I just thought of it when typing the last message.
..... They referenced it briefly. Look it up genius, and the history channel has only a negligable input on anything I just said.
Wither are not these videos are pictures of real UFO's doesn't really matter, a large number of folks will assert they are real aliens videos and give all manner of proofs to the affirmative, but just as many folks will give proofs and counter claims that these videos are just another hoax in long line of hoaxes. Until the aliens land on the White House lawn, as it were, and hang out with the international press corps we will not have definitive proof. Those who believe in UFOs and extraterrestrials can heave a huge sigh of relief. The reality optional people will cry foul and give biblical quotes as to why this can't be happening. Oh well! The only planet we can really study, teams with life, it is everywhere. From the tops of the high frozen mountains to the bottom of the cold dark seas. And everywhere in between. When we finely get past low earth orbit and begin to study exobiology we will find life everywhere we go. In astonishing places, and in even more astonishing quantities. And if I'm still when alive when we have first contact, I will be greatly pleased, and content with the universe.
Uh, Kenny. You, sir, are the one who needs to do a little research when you make the uninformed statement that there were no UFO sightings prior to the second world war. There were, and have been sightings of unknown aerial objects throughout history. If your going to comment on this subject young fella, at least learn something about it first. And by the way, Hermann Oberth, a German scientist who came over here with the operation paperclip scientists stated that the nazis had help from people not of this planet. Learn boy. A good place to start might be the book Passport To Magonia by Jacques Valle.
All,
Please search a common term in UFO circles...Big Black Delta.... Systems have been around for almost twenty five years. In area due to Egyptian situation. Enjoy.
In first video there is a large flash before spot shots into sky but in second on which is much closer, there is no flash at all. This is fake.....
As real as it gets.

The Rock
Huh?
Just like the birds and fish from the sky dying, their will always be coverups as soon as it surfaces. Governments have plans for that and can use any entity or means to do it. If they did not cover it up, they would lose control.
But God already knows, they never had it.
People, even Christ would not be able to tell you exactly what the father is doing and when he does what he does. Revelation does not give dates and this scripture says it all:
Mark 13:32 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.
People, quit looking for someone to tell you what is happening, they can't...
Easy to say something "like this" is fake, until u see "something like this" with your own two eyes or maybe with other people.
I've seen very similar light objects in the sky, that moved in ways that no human made object could move. It was 44 years ago.
I hope u sceptics get to see one for yourselves one day.
Oh c'mon! these are weather balloons... a speck of dust on the lense of the camera... Just look at all the lame excuses given in the USA for these UFO's and you'll find your answer!
this is very interesting, the vehicle descends at a constant rate, stops near elevation, an energy burst of some type occurs and then the object rapidly ascends into the sky. modern military technology can make this possible. I cant explain the faint red 'sparkles' but i have to lean toward this being a man-made object.
Israel has an advanced aerospace industry and I believe that this is a test vehicle of some type with a mission unclear.
This is simply the Israeli Defense Forces using their advanced technology in preparation for a very large Bar Mitzvah next Sunday. I agree this is not a fake video. Israel's scientific and military hardware is years ahead of ours.
The third video, the one made by "american tourists" is a fake.
Probably in an attempt by the professional debunkers to cast doubt on the first two.
Maybe I couldnt see it well being on a laptop and all, but WAS that guy standing in front of the camera moving his hand down at the same time and speed that the "UFO" was descending? And WAS his hand glowing from something? Im not saying it did happen as I saw it, like I said, on a laptop. Just wondering if anyone else saw the same?
That guy was actually filming the same event with a cell phone.
That's where the second video comes from.
Sorry Kenny of Denver, but sightings as well as recordations of unexplained flying objects has been going on for hundreds of years. There are dozens of oil paintings going back as far as 500 years, and more, that show objects in the sky, resembling what we see today, and take photos of, and videos too.
Here. See for yourself.

just type it in your browser and hit Search. Enjoy.
Nice resource. This is compelling stuff.
I bet it's part hoax/part viral marketing. This movie, Battle: LA (google for the trailer; I actually think it looks interesting) comes out in March. Good timing to start the hype engine. After all, the premise of the movie is that there were unexplained sightings at first. Movie studios have access to the money and tools to make a convincing hoax like this.
Simple: Perception. It appeared to be over the temple based on where they were standing. To others who may have observed it but did not record, it could have easily been over a grocery store or something.
wake ou my friends, we've been watched fot thousands of years.
I watched the debunking videos, and the most convincing evidence, the parallels of foreground and horizon, to not hold water-- if the horizon is distant enough, you're not going to see a major change in perspective-- the foreground bouncing around like crazy makes sense, because one inch of movement is going to be more noticeable at 5 feet compared to 5 miles (or more). To test this theory, I took out my cell phone and videotaped the entrance to my job site and compared the movement to the horizon (mountains) and did NOT see any major shifting in the background, but did notice obvious shifting in the foreground. He also doesn't take into account that they are looking down on the city from an elevated position, which would make the horizon somewhere off in the black, not across the city lights.... This is basically an issue of perspective and the guy on the debunking site got it wrong... Or so it would seem... admittedly, my experiment was sloppy/hasty. I'd like to do a better one with more open horizon to work with.
Makes me wonder about this video, though. If you're a subscriber to the ancient astronaut theory, then it would make sense that alien beings would visit ancient temple sites...
Do you supposed they'll be visiting the bible thumping theme parks in Georgia too? I hear they're fun.
Yes that is all and well except for the fact that there is no actual source (read: point) of light creating that flash seen on the first videos taken on the hillside.
The most recent video of this occurrence takes place much closer to the scene, but is mysteriously missing this flash previously seen on the first two videos.
This story may be making it's rounds on MSNBC, but it is still highly debatable footage. All three videos.
The fact that they're not yelling from the excitement and wobbling the camera a lot makes it suspicious! The rapid flash looked very fake and limited to what a slide can produce... if it was more of a lightning strike it would have everything to do with its locality around the UFO than the area around the camera.
... but then again the UFO seems to not have super-psychic/telepatic powers as it seems to have nothing to do with the people holding the cameras. They forgot to bring that forth. The people of Jerusalem will hold this a conspiracy 'till the end, they will burn all the evidence before you get to it. Yah right! Hahah.
ET's in UFO's must be historians, just curious and want to see Jerusalem before the 'BIG ONE' hits Israel turning that tiny Apartheid sandbox rightly into a empty parking lot. The Zionists have been begging for that to happen for years now. Pressuring President Obama 24/7 to strike Iran with nuclear weapons.
FINALLY on July 2009, Both Russia's and China's President told America that if their strategic ally Iran were attacked, Both Russia and China would respond militarily and WW3 would result. The Russian President to underscore that posted that severe warning on his official Russian Presidential website.
Syria has since informed America that if their strategic ally Iran whom has a strategy mutual protection treaty with Russia and Iran were attacked, Syria would have no choice but to attack Israel.
Turkey has some mutual protection agreement with Iran now as well making the situation even more difficult as Turkey is a NATO member and could call upon NATO nations to attack Israel as well.
Curiously Israel appears to have sent a Israeli Mossad assassination team to murder the Turkish leader but failed, I wonder how NATO feels about that, Israel attempting to assassinate a NATO member nations leader?
YEP, probably the UFO's are wanting to see Jerusalem before the BIG ONE strikes Israel.
wake up my fellow believers, they have been watching us for thousands of years.
there are no UFO"s only fools that want to believe there is life out in space .the only life comes from the earth there is nothing out in space only a lot of gas
Well Harry, you seem to know a lot about two things- gas/hot air and narcissism- your an expert at that.
When people want to believe in something, "it" exists. Period. No amount of logic will change that. I firmly believe that life abounds throughout the universe, but it's just a belief not, at least to date, a fact. If someone wants to believe that aliens are spending their time buzzing around Earth, or that a god is waiting for them in heaven, that "faith" is giving that person the security they need. And faith, unfortunately, will always have more sway than scientific evidence. It's just part of being a member of the current dominant species on the only planet we currently know has life. It's part of being human.
Considering how some seem to believe in outside forces in critical times, there must be life in higher-dimensions that have quantum-qualities and exist within our super-consciousness which only live for us and dissapear when we die.
