The lighter side of the Rapture

Some grey bloke holds forth on the Rapture.

For a lot of people, the end of the world is serious business, even if they may not think that Saturday is the day. I'd like to apologize in advance to those people for the following links to levity:

I'll be blogging about the Rapture hype over the weekend, and you can follow the updates by checking CosmicLog.com/Rapture. All this crap about rapture is a way to discredit Christians ! I cant believe these so called Christian leaders are pushing this when its clearly stated that no one , not even the angels in heaven know when the return of Christ will happen.... only Christ and his father know. Anyone who claims they know is a deciever.

There is no such a thing like christ and his father. What is real is that religion was invented to control people's minds, and those are the less educated, and the less intelligent.

    #1.1 - Fri May 20, 2011 7:10 PM EDT

@Manny, that's other nonsense. There have been many intelligent individuals that have believed in god.

This kind of Christianity believes that the world is so evil that God has abandoned it to the Evil Kingdom- and that belief ignores the strong Judeo-Christian belief that God's will is for redemption of the world - including Jesus' prayer: "thy will be done on EARTH as it is in Heaven."

What will all these people say once they figured out that Sunday still came without an incident? What will they come up with Next?

              My question exactly.

But you know they will come up with something.

Fisrt off, I'm not saying religion wasn't man made, but man thought it necessary many years ago to offer a moral standard of living. Governments as we all know are great at passing all means of legal restraint, but have never been one to either follow or lead us down any moral path necessary to prevent us from raping, butchering and even eating each other. After all it was the religious missionaries that got rid of canabalism. So yea, the pendulum swings back and forth and things get carried to extremes, but I still believe religion is a necessary evil or good to keep us all in balance.

                          The "world" will 'end'?

Maybe humans will end, and if they do they probably have it coming.

But this old rock will still keep spinning 'round.

The rapture is no laughing matter, nor is it what or rather when and how most Bible-brandishing preachers figure it will be! Of that day and hour knoweth no man. And contrary to what most teach or preach, there will be nothing secret about it. No one living on earth is going to escape the TRIBULATION, but those who will have made ready shall be spared the coming plagues and will rejoice to see their returning Lord and Saviour! Let the faithful take courage in the assurance that not their beliefs but their being covered by the blood of The Lamb Of God will be their Passover, just as it was in Egypt millenia ago. Those that have an ear let them hear! And be at peace... even though the planet be shaking and the mountains be removed into the mid of the sea.

read Revalations. there will be 2 beasts. first will be the political beast, he leads the way for the religious beast. or as some call him, anti-christ. he will make the masses swoon over him, he will make them believe he is Jesus. only the truely faithful will know the difference. those written in the book of the lamb will be able to fight along side of the angels to defeat. there is no rapture, no "fly away" theory. it is in Timmothy where God is against such a theory. before the end of time can even start to happen there is supposed to be around 11 billion people on earth. if you believe in God and the second coming of Christ, then read your Bibles and know really KNOW the truth. if you are a true believer, then you will know that it wont matter if you sell everything you own, God will be here when it is time and NO mere man or woman can predict that. all we can do is read the Bible and prepare ourselves and our famillies.

Earlier on another one of these post's someone said that the "Rapture" or the "word" rapture is not in the Bible, this is Correct.

But it is referred to, in 1st Thessalonians Chapter 4, verses 13 thru 18, it says:

                                  13) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (this is how they referred to a christian who was dead, that he was asleep or sleeping) that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

                                  14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus (a saved person) will God bring with him. (bring with him to Heaven)

                                  15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain(a Saved person who is alive) unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

                                  16) For the Lord himself (2nd coming of Jesus Christ)shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (the dead in Christ are Saved people, or Christians who died, they will rise up from the dead, to be raptured out, first)

                                  17) Then we which are alive and remain (Saved people who are still alive) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we be ever be with the Lord. (although the word rapture is not used, this IS THE RAPTURE)

                                  18) Wherefore comfort one another with these word.

There are other places in the Bible where a Rapture is mentioned or a Rapture is depicted, or a Rapture takes place, but without the Word, "Rapture" being in the sentence. I am not going to write them all down, cus, it would take a lot of time to find them and to write all of them down. But, most of you don't believe me, so I am not going to waste all of my time, especially when you don't appreciate me taking my time to do this in the first place.

The first thing to do is to get SAVED, then after that, you might appreciate what Jesus has done for you and everyone on earth.

In John 3:16 it say's, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (go to hell), but have everlasting life.

                                  17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Do you get that? God loves the people in this world so much that he gave his ONLY SON, that by doing this, by the death of HIS ONLY SON, WE MIGHT OBTAIN ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN.

And all of you and me, all we have to do is BELIEVE and GET SAVED, then we can go to HEAVEN!

How simple, but it is so hard for you to get this idea in your thick skulls!

God loved us so much that he gave his only Son!

The second coming is AFTER 7 YEARS of tribulation....when Jesus comes back with his fury with us the church and the angels for several campaigns leading to the battle of Armaggedon to take down Satan and have him chained for a thousand years during the millineum, etc until the great White throne judgement. The rapture is before tribulation the second coming after tribulation.......

I am tired about hearing people preddicting the end of time. The Bible plainly says that wil shall not know the day or time. People that says the Bible predicts it are crazy because it says we shall not know read the Bible and study some more it could be tonight or another thousands years you won't know.

                                      #12.2 - Fri May 20, 2011 10:33 PM EDT

There is not secret rapture. All eyes will see him. (Matt. 24:27; 1 Thess. 4:16,17; Rev. 1:7). If you're thinking about one person being taken and the other left read Luke 17:26-37. Just because their left doesn't mean there alive. On the 7 years, if you're getting this from the 70 weeks (Daniel 9:24-27) the seventy weeks (490 days) were 490 years (Ezek. 4:6; Num. 14:34) spanning 457 B.C. (issuing of decree to rebuild Jerusalem) to 34 A.D. (stoning of Stephen). The 70th week or last 7 years began in 27 A.D. (annointing of Christ) and ended in 34 A.D. (stoning of Stephen) when the Gospel was given to the Gentiles. It all matches precisely as God said it would through His prophet Daniel. The 2nd Coming of Christ does come after the tribulation (Rev. 16:15) just as literal Israel exited Egypt after the plagues (Ex. 12) so will spirtual Israel exit this world of sin after the plagues.

All stories of the rapture occurring before the beast declares himself to be god in the rebuilt temple are from false prophets. Considering Christ even rested on the Sabbath before His Resurrection should tell everyone how lawless, against Christ's commandments these are. To confuse the lawless ones with believers in Christ is an absurdity.

People should pay closer attention to their Bible's and trust what the entirety of the Word of God lays out for mankind. First of all it's not the End of the World, period. Rather the End of the World as we know it. What people don't understand is that, Yes the Messiah will come but not to destroy the world, but to restore it. Restore it back to what God created it to be in the first place till man chose to run it his own way. For those who choose not to believe it, I truly hope that you would, but like Adam had his choice, so do we. Also, for those who think that God holds His prophecies as secrets and would not share them with anyone, that too is false. He shared them with His prophets and one in particular, Daniel, He told to seal up the vision because it pertained to the end times. Meaning that the prophecies would be revealed at the appointed time, the End Times. All the other teachers or preachers who thought that the knew that devine date, could not have because they were not living in that last generation. The generation that the Messiah said would see the "Branch" of the "Fig Tree" putting forth its leaves. No other generation from the time that the Messiah was here the first time, then the Fig Tree (Israel) withered and died in 70 AD, until her rebirth in 1948 has seen this prophecy fulfilled until THIS generation that we're living in. We are that generation that God has revealed His promises to. Just like Moses and the Israelites in the land of Egypt. 400 years passed before God's promise through Moses was revealed. The key is Israel and their birth as a nation in 1948 and their recapturing of Jerusalem in 1967 (the Branch putting forth it's leaves). God gave us His plan through Jerusalem. If you would like to know more reply to this post and I'll gladly explain it if you're serious about it. Because all these people who are using God's name to push May 21, 2011, I believe truly don't understand what gift God has given in regards to knowing His Revelation of the Messiah, and the public is being forced to moved farther and farther away when these dates turn out to be a flop.

Oh, and that they didn't waste their lives trying mightily to force their will upon Humanity... anywho, the KJV sez only 12,000 of the twelve tribes of Israel will be saved - the rest of us pay cash.
